Common Core State Standards

The California Common Core State Standards (CA CCSS) are learning standards that explain what students should know and be able to do in each grade for English language arts and math. They were adopted by the State Board of Education to provide clear and consistent expectations for all students from kindergarten through high school. The goal of these standards is to help students build strong knowledge, think critically, and gain the skills they need to succeed in college and future careers, even if they move to a different school.
