Principal's Message

Dear Marks Family,

As I begin my second year as the Principal of Bernhard Marks Elementary, it is with immense pride and enthusiasm that I, Sergio Padilla Jr, welcome you to the 2025-26 school year! To our returning Mustangs and those joining our family for the first time—welcome!

As a 2004 graduate of Dos Palos High School and a lifelong resident, I am deeply rooted in this community. Together with my wife, Samantha, and our two children, we are honored to call Dos Palos home. With over 19 years of service in our district—as a coach, substitute, special education teacher, administrator, and now Principal—I am dedicated to fostering an environment where every student can excel.

This year, we are dedicated to challenging our students to push their limits, fostering a love for learning through engaging and fun experiences, and cultivating accountability and responsibility to prepare them for their futures. We aim to provide a safe, joyful, and enriching environment where learning thrives. The power of education has the potential to unlock endless possibilities, and we’re excited to guide our Mustangs on this journey.
